Our Humble Beginnings
Aroma Indian Bistro began its journey in 2019, just before the global pandemic reshaped the way the world dined and gathered. We first opened our doors as Island Cuisine, a small but vibrant Caribbean restaurant nestled in the heart of Rexdale Mall. We quickly became a community favourite, celebrated for our authentic flavours, warm atmosphere, and genuine hospitality. As we grew, so did our kitchen and our passion for bringing Caribbean cuisine to life with fresh ingredients and traditional recipes.

After the success of our first location, we ventured to Oshawa, where we continued to refine our craft and explore new culinary avenues. However, our passion for bringing diverse flavors to our community led us down a different path. We decided to merge two rich culinary traditions under one roof, blending the bold spices of Indian cuisine with the savory comfort of Caribbean dishes. This vision gave birth to Aroma Indian Bistro, a unique dining experience located in a tucked-away plaza in North York, just minutes from Yorkdale Mall. With a complete renovation, we equipped our kitchen with specialty equipment to ensure our dishes are always freshly cooked to perfection.

Our journey has also led us to become a prime vendor at the Toronto Carnival, where we proudly served the highest number of guests in 2024.
